Corundum-Mullite Shaped Brick
Composition and Classification
1• Main Components: Corundum-mullite bricks are mainly made of corundum and mullite as raw materials, with an appropriate amount of alumina, silica ultrafine powder and additives added. The content of Al₂O₃ is usually between 80% and 90%.
2• Classification: According to the content of the main component Al₂O₃, it can be divided into four grades: GMZ-80, GMZ-85.
Features
1• Good Thermal Resistance: It has a high refractoriness and can be used for a long time at temperatures above 1700°C. The initial temperature of load softening is between 1600°C and 1700°C.
2• Strong Thermal Stability: It can withstand rapid changes in temperature, has good thermal shock resistance, and is resistant to extreme cold and heat, and is not easy to spall.
3• High Chemical Stability: It has strong resistance to corrosive media such as acids and alkalis, as well as gases such as oxygen, hydrogen and carbon monoxide, and is not prone to chemical reactions.
4• High Mechanical Strength: It has a high compressive strength at room temperature, which can reach 70-160MPa, and is resistant to pressure, wear and impact.
Application
1• Iron and Steel Metallurgy Industry: It is used for the linings of high-temperature equipment such as blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, ladles and tundishes.
2• Petroleum and Chemical Industry: It is used as a refractory material in high-temperature reaction furnaces such as oil refining and chemical industries.
3• Power Industry: It is used for the refractory linings of high-temperature equipment such as boilers and steam turbines.
4• Glass and Ceramics Industry: It is used in high-temperature equipment such as glass kilns and ceramic kilns.
