Corundum-mullite bricks are mainly made of corundum and mullite as raw materials, with an appropriate amount of alumina, silica ultrafine powder and additives added. The content of Al₂O₃ is usually between 80% and 90%.
According to the content of the main component Al₂O₃, it can be divided into four grades, including GMZ-80 and GMZ-85.

Corundum-mullite bricks are mainly composed of corundum and mullite as raw materials, with added alumina, silica ultrafine powder, and additives. The Al₂O₃ content typically ranges between 80% and 90%.
These bricks exhibit outstanding thermal resistance, allowing for long-term use at high temperatures exceeding 1700°C, with a load softening start temperature between 1600°C and 1700°C.
DM-80 contains 80% Al₂O₃ and ≤19% SiO₂ with a cold crushing strength of 115 Mpa. DM-85 contains 85% Al₂O₃ and ≤14% SiO₂ with a higher cold crushing strength of 120 Mpa. DM-85 also offers superior thermal shock resistance and higher refractoriness under load (1680°C vs 1650°C).
They offer high chemical stability, providing excellent resistance against corrosive media like acids, alkalis, and gases (such as oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide). They also have high mechanical strength (70-160MPa) to withstand pressure, wear, and impact.
